Job Search Strategies for Mature Professionals Workshop:

Job Search Strategies for Mature Professionals is a six-week workshop that addresses all elements necessary for a productive job or career search. Resumes, cover letters, informational and job interviewing, networking, elevator speeches, LinkedIn, guiding your contacts, participating in job fairs, salary and compensation advice, and more. Classes start August 27 and run on Tuesdays and  Thursdays, 6-to-9 PM, at Durham Technical CC, Hillsborough (Orange County) campus, 525 College Park Drive. No pre-registration is required; we handle this in class. This workshop is FREE if you are unemployed or under-employed.

The Clinical Psychology at Liberal Arts Colleges Special Interest Group from ABCT is hosting a webinar called "Illuminating the liberal arts academic path" on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 from 3:30 - 5:00pm EST.  The webinar will feature a diverse group of clinical psychologists who will share their wisdom and perspective about attaining a faculty position at a liberal arts college and their experience working at a liberal arts college. The 2019 Career Fair hosted by the RDU National Black MBA Association will offer an exciting opportunity for individuals to connect with companies seeking to fill internships, contract positions, and full time positions. Organizations will primarily seek to hire candidates for local positions, but there will also be opportunities to learn about positions outside of the RDU area.


The career fair is free and open to the public. The private reception is free for vendors and NBMBAA members and will include random prize giveaways. Participation at the private reception requires a $10 donation to the RDU Chapter for non-members. Donations are non-refundable. Food and drinks will be provided while quantities last.
